NYE by the fire
It's a known fact that almost every NYE is a disappointment. Last year I was in Paris - you'd think that NYE in Paris would be unforgettable - but there's always those little dramas that seem to dampen the mood...
This year I decided to go in with no expectations, no solid plans. Hopefully this will make for an interesting, spontaneous and festive night.
So we set off for glorious Byron Bay! Man... I could stare at this all day
When in Byron... dress like it! Think relaxed, beachy and ethereal. We decked ourselves out in braids and glitter coz - why not!!
For a night like ours, you'll need ambience - a lot of fairy lights, bon fires, a killer playlist, blankets, pillows and sparklers. We chose a glorious spot on the beach and set up camp!

You want summery relaxed music, that also brings the beat for celebratory dancing. We chose a glorious mix of Beach House, Local Natives, Best Coast, Flume, Foster the People and Foals. We kept it simple with marshmallows to toast ad lots of cider!
And how was it you ask? Yep the best yet! Magical, stress free and full of friends, a few too many ciders and followed by a fabulous day the the beach and some AMAZING fish tacos!
