This time of year can get a little bit hectic - with christmas looming and exams finally finishing, it felt as though my textbooks had replaced my friends! So, my beautiful friend Sophie organised a three course meal dinner party, to celebrate summer, finishing university for another year, and generally to catch up!

The dress code: 50's (Think glamorous housewife)

The inspiration: Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly

Thankfully we had some lovely Rara Superstar dresses to help with our vintage look. We accessorised them with sky-high heels, cute jewellery and bright belts!

Now for the food. As prepared by the hostess herself, a fresh and (reasonably) healthy summer spread with summer punch, white and red wine to accompany.

The Menu:

Canapes: Grilled halloumi, pancetta and watermelon

Entree: Pancetta, spinach, walnut and fetta salad with peppercorn dressing

Main: Grilled chicken skewers with satay sauce, fresh noodle salad and crisp lettuce

Dessert: Lemon citrus tart with cream

Supper: Cheese board

The Drinks:

Summer punch, white and red wine
