* I really hope that all of you have seen at least one Studio Ghibli film in your life! *

The amazing Japanese animation studio is responsible for some of THE MOST cute, beautiful, and moving films ever.

 One of the more recent films by the studio is the super fun romp "Gake no ue no Ponyo" or "Ponyo on the cliff by the sea," which centers around Ponyo, a fish who longs to be a girl, escaping from her wizard father who seeks to keep her safe in his clutches forever, she ends up befriending a young boy and his village (and of course has a tonne of fun and exciting adventures while there!)

Ponyo is definitely a movie that comes to mind when I think of summer, the bright colours, adorable outfits of the characters, and the large storm that features towards the end of the film remind me of the delightful days spent here in Brisbane during the warmer months.

Using this lovely movie as inspiration I have created a few summer looks that are guaranteed to make your heart sing!
