Sweet spots for your Sweetheart February 12 2013, 0 Comments

That's right Ra Ra readers, Valentines Day is coming up this thursday! If you're not wanting to make a big fuss, head to one of these buzzing Brisbane bars for a romantic cocktail and some nibbles!

Walrus Club

This elusive bar recently opened near the regatta - a bit tricky to find with it's unmarked door - the Walrus club opens up to a 1920's style rum bar. Complete with mood lighting, wax candles and dark corners - perfect for you and your sweetheart.

The Hideaway

If you're looking for more of a quiet night for you and your date to enjoy each others company, head to The Hideaway. As the name suggests, it's a little place tucked away next to Mystique in the Valley. Now, don't let the location deter you, this bar has a very homey feel, chill out on a couch and talk the night away.

Sixes and Sevens

This new bar has been bustling since it's opening late last year. From first glance it seems like someones stylishly renovated Queenslander in New Farm, but this bar boasts a cute outside area to mingle and enjoy those romantic summer nights. Their jugs of Pimms are my personal favourite.

The Bowery

With some of the best cocktails in town, The Bowery is perfect for anyone in a new relationship. With live jazz music most nights, and impressive bartenders to serve your every need - you'll feel comfortable and romantic for the night. Ask for an Espresso Martini or Mesha! It isn't on the menu but the cinnamon sugar rim will have you going back for seconds in no time!
