Somehow the end of the year is less than three months away. For a lot of people, this generally means powering through workloads, finishing up major assignments, and working late hours for the upcoming holiday trade. It's super important to make sure that during any busy period, you take a little time to chill out and look after your body and mind.
Here are a few of our simple tips to ensure you don't burn out, but shine bright.
Tip One: Wherever possible, get yourself outdoors
'In all things of nature there is something of the marvellous.' - Aristotle
Yes, this can be a pickle if you're stuck at work, school, or uni for the day, but if you have a half-hour spare in the late afternoon, it's a great idea to get outside. You could go for a stroll around your neighbourhood (if it's pitch-black, drag a buddy along with you). If you have a day or two off over the weekend, use more of your time outdoors than in! Take your sunscreen, don your most comfortable and cheery clothes, and head to your local beach or park. Think picnics, light exercise, outdoor reading, or a barbecue gathering.
A comfy playsuit, a cropped shirt, sunnies, and a headband will keep you cool and covered.
Tip Two: Take up a hobby
'We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.' - Walt Disney
The best way to know which hobby to take up is to just start anywhere. Painting? Paddle boarding? Gardening? Styling fashion/decor? Rock climbing? Volunteering? Taking up a hobby that's different to what you typically do at work will be an amazing break for your mind.
And if you're really stuck, there's always beach volleyball! Like our fun-loving shirt below says, just 'Live it, Love it, Play it'.
Tip Three: Appreciate the little things

This is an important one for everyone to do. Sometimes we get caught up in the humdrum of daily life, so it's vital that we stop and appreciate what's around us. You may find you appreciate your favourite coffee shop. Or maybe you love that springtime plant growing in your backyard. Or perhaps you really dig walking through the grass barefoot. Whatever it is that makes you smile, try and take a second longer to really appreciate it.

Tip Four: Be silly, have fun

This is a hard one. Some people find it a little easier than others to be less inhibited and a little more carefree, especially in public. However, having a crazy dance around (even if it's in your room), or wearing that eccentric accessory (eccentric is always better) will help you realise that life is too precious to be too 'normal'. Be the odd sock to our pack of Odd Pears!
